Sandra Goodman, PhD
 
 

Dr. Goodman has over 35 years of clinical experience. She received her PhD from the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles in 1985 after majoring in Psychology and Political Science at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts. She also studied at the University of California, Los Angeles, Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and completed a Post-Doctoral Internship at the Maple Center in Beverly Hills. A native of Los Angeles, she has been practicing in the area since obtaining her license in Marriage, Child and Family Therapy in 1985.


Dr. Goodman has had extensive training in multiple dimensions of the field of psychology including expertise in working with families navigating through divorce and remarriage, working with chronic and terminal illness, the challenges of parenting and step-parenting. forensic psychology, disability and the field of the impact of work stress on employees and other workplace problems.


She attended the UCLA Master’s Program of Interior Architecture and has conducted research in the field of design psychology on the impact of design, environmental factors and architecture on the well-being of people who live and work in buildings.


Dr. Goodman is a provider for many insurance plans and private payment is also possible. Her office is in the San Fernando Valley.  Credit cards and other forms of payment are accepted and phone or telehealth sessions are available for clients throughout the state of California.
